What happens next

When you reach out, one of our senior ecologists will respond within one business day. We'll discuss your project requirements, site characteristics, and timeline to recommend the most appropriate services.

If your project is time-sensitive or you're approaching critical survey windows (such as bat survey season or breeding bird periods), let us know in your message so we can prioritize accordingly.

Before you contact us

Having the following information ready helps us provide more specific guidance:

Don't worry if you don't have all these details yet. We can work with limited information during initial conversations.

Survey season considerations

Many ecological surveys must be conducted during specific months. Bat activity surveys run from May through September. Breeding bird surveys happen between March and June. Great crested newt surveys require visits between mid-March and mid-June.

If your planning application deadline falls outside optimal survey windows, contact us as soon as possible. We can often structure assessments to minimize delays or recommend alternative approaches that satisfy regulatory requirements.

Working across the UK

While based in Bristol, we conduct surveys throughout England, Wales, and Scotland. Our team regularly travels for projects, and we maintain a network of associate ecologists for larger developments requiring multiple concurrent site visits.

We're familiar with regional variations in protected species distributions, priority habitats, and local planning authority requirements across different UK regions.
